Ground Ourselves – Virtual Event

This is the first session of our three-part series which will offer practices that will help us stay grounded and focus on well-being.

About this Event

Join Girls Are Powerful for some personal connection during physical distancing. Our Family Connection events will focus on community building through quality time and empowerment activities—all from the safety of your own home! Offered over three Saturdays in collaboration with women in the community, we will explore and tap into what it means to take care of ourselves.

During this event:

  • Our physical activity will be Qigong lead by Susan Miles. Qigong is an Asian form of yoga that has been around for thousands of years. The guiding principle of Qigong is the coordination of the eyes with the body movements.
  • Our speaker will be Julie Bluhm. She will discuss emotions management, grounding, and coping skills and the importance of recognizing and feeling all emotions.

When: April 11, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:30AM

Where: Virtually, via Zoom
